Signed into law in 2024, through Senate Bill 233, the Georgia Promise Scholarship aims to empower families to pursue exceptional educational programs through nonpublic schooling, including private school and home study. We are thrilled to share that Georgia Promise Scholarship applications are now open and will be accepted at Vidalia Heritage Academy, making a Christ-centered, independent education more accessible now than ever before. Next Steps

Step 1: Determine your school attendance zone.

Is your family zoned to attend a school that has been deemed as a Georgia Promise Scholarship public school? To access a list of schools by district, please click here. You can also use the Pre-Screen Tool for families. Please note that this is not an official application, and the results of this questionnaire indicate potential eligibility status. 

If the answer is YES, continue to the next step. If you are unsure of your family's eligibility, please contact the school at 912-537-6679 and we'll be happy to help guide you through the process. 

 

Step 2: Submit the Georgia Promise Scholarship application.

Click here to begin the Georgia Promise Scholarship application. Please note that completion of this application is mandatory. Applications are open now through June 25, 2025.

APPLY FOR THE GEORGIA PROMISE SCHOLARSHP

Step 3: Contact the school to begin your VHA application.

Immediately following completion of the Georgia Promise Scholarship application, begin the VHA admission application process. This step must be completed in order to be verified for the scholarship. Click here to learn more and to begin the process today.

 

 

Step 4: Await decisions from Georgia Promise and VHA.

Per the Georgia Promise Scholarship website, final student priorities will be determined after the application period closes. VHA will begin releasing admission decisions as provided.
