VHA - Who We Are Spiritually
VHA is a school founded on Christian principles in the Bible. We exist to partner with parents and families to nurture and educate students by applying biblical truth to every area of life, including all academic disciplines. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that promotes biblically-based Christian principles. Traits such as putting others before self, personal responsibility, honesty, etc. are expected of all students that attend VHA. Our students have the opportunity to have Bible classes each day and attend chapel once a week. Everything we do is based on biblical teachings, from our worship to each policy/rule in our Student Handbook. As Christian educators, we strive for excellence in education and purpose to build students up in a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through instruction that is fully integrated with biblical truth. We encourage each student to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12).

VHA - Academics
We are a college preparatory school with a dual accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) through Cognia (formerly AdvancED) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). We challenge our students to achieve their full potential through excellence in classroom instruction and high-quality academic standards. VHA teachers and staff have exceptional academic and spiritual backgrounds and believe in the importance of strong fundamental skills and work habits that provide the foundation for achievement in individual fields of interest. VHA teachers and staff are committed to encouraging students and seek to inspire a commitment to excellence in scholarship and life-long learning.

VHA - Athletics
At VHA, we have a dedicated coaching staff and offer a range of athletic opportunities for youth, middle school, and varsity with team and individual sports including football, cross country, cheerleading, archery, wresting, baseball, tennis, track, soccer, and softball. We strive for excellence in everything we do, including our Athletics Program. We have brought home numerous region and state championships and many of our athletes have been named all-region/all-state and have gone on to participate in collegiate sports programs. The VHA Athletics Program is a tool that helps us to equip students as we teach skills such as teamwork, effort, sportsmanship, and Christ-like character that help them become well-rounded and successful students, teammates, and leaders on and off the field.

VHA - Arts
From musicals and theater performances to visual arts, we are committed to developing a full complement of intellectual, athletic, artistic, and civic skills. Participation in the arts allows students the opportunity to practice skills that relate to creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication. It also improves focus, memory, concentration, listening skills, Not to mention, it builds their confidence and they have loads of fun! We encourage our students to explore and improve their unique talents through arts programs and master their God-given talents for His glory.
